| Rotting away on the expansive Thestran continent, lays the crumbling remains of a once great manor that served as a home to the human kings of Thestra. Time and trouble have etched away at this massive castle, creating a dangerous breeding ground for evil entities, Orcs, and Goblins, who now use the rubble as their fortress, hiding away long lost secrets. In the misty skies above the ruins, floats an eerie meteor that some say contains the power to control the many Orcish minions who now live amongst the debris. Those who have ventured into the ghost of a castle have returned silenced from fear, or have never returned at all, only adding to the secrets that surround these mysterious ruins. It will take a group of Heroes to unlock the secrets that are so carefully contained within the ruined walls of Trengal Keep. So find a few of your must trusted adventuring friends, and prepare to ride into the heart of Thestra to begin your quests for truth and treasure! The expansive area of Trengal Keep encompasses not only the remains of a once great castle, but also the lands surrounding it. If you travel by riftway, you and your group will find Trengal Keep as a destination. Those who prefer their trusty mounts, or a brisk walk on foot, can find the Keep in a central northern area on Thestra, to the north and west of Leth Nurae. On the eastern border, within view of the riftway, lies Trengal Watch, where numerous guards do their best to keep the lands safe. Each of these guards will have tasks for you and your guild to complete. With the recent whereabouts of many guards unknown, it is up to you to investigate the strange happenings in Trengal Keep. There are various solo, small group, and full group quests to pick up as you adventure through the Trengal Keep. Below you'll find a brief walkthrough of the quests you can complete, including the introduction to the first quest in a series that delves into the Legend of Trengal Keep. Below you will find walkthroughs (read: spoilers!) for various quests which range in level from the mid-twenties, up to thirty. It's good to gather some of the solo or small group quests first, as you are bound to level (if you want to) as you progress through the Legend of Trengal Keep series. Quests from Guard Irulan Quests from Guard Turroza Quests from Alchemist Dunia Quests from Captain Morrond Quests from Sage Maenor SAGE MAENOR The Legend of Trengal Keep (Part 1 – Group) On the outskirts of the Watch Sage Maenor sees you and grins as if he almost expects your presence. No time for lengthy introductions, he explains to you the history of Trengal Keep, reminding you that it once served the human kings of Thestra. Now, without a look you can see that the manor is not only in shambles, but infiltrated with Orcs who seem to possess an unknown power. Sage Maenor will send you and your group into the Keep to kill various creatures that have overrun the castle in order to learn more about its history. - Kill 10 Meteor Shards and Fragments (You can also get updates for the Meteoric Studies quest when killing these mobs)
- Kill 3 Entities of Phalebrus
- Kill 30 Orcs and Goblins (You can find plenty of these at the entrance)
GUARD IRULAN Unknown Information (Sends you to new quest hub) Upon encountering Guard Irulan, you can see that he is injured. His head hangs low as he quietly tells you of his peril. It was his duty to gather information for the Celestial Ward, whose headquarters are located at the Wardship of the Sleeping Moon. Due to his injury, he cannot complete his task, and asks you to deliver a message for him. - Speak with Ainsley Heath at the Wardship of the Sleeping Moon
Risk to Thestra (Small Group) The injured Guard Irulan knows first hand the strength of the Orcs and Goblins that have taken up residence within the ruined walls of Trengal Keep. Their numbers have grown over the last 30 years, and already they have started to take up guard at the south gates, nearly cutting off Trengal Watch from other areas in Thestra. Irulan encourages you to do your part by slaying various Orcs and Goblins guarding the outer areas of Trengal Keep and recover a couple emblems from gate wardens as proof. - 24 Scars, Aegises, Seekers and Rakes Slain
- 2 Emlblems of Gulgrethor (You need to travel to the South Gates of TK to find the wardens. The area is just a bit west of the Silverlake chunk border, southwest of Trengal Watch)
(You will receive 15 Wolverine Haunches as your reward) Mitten Delivery (Sends you to new quest hub) Injured Irulan is not without friends. Upon learning of his unfortunate encounter with the Gulgrethor brute, his family sent an enormous gift package – far too large for any one person to enjoy. Possibly the strangest item in the bundle was a pair of large mittens, fit for a lesser giant. Irulan asks you to deliver these mittens to a friend who is stationed at the Northern Border. - Travel to Hendar two chunks over in Falgarholm to deliver the mittens.
GUARD TURROZA Mostly Dead But Not All Dead (Group) Guard Turroza motions you close and tells you of Guard Irulan's woes. He's been roughed up more than a few times, and it's no coincidence that he's standing guard in the mostly peaceful Watch, rather than fighting the orcish squads once again. Turroza asks you to help lighten the load by taking down a few of the troublesome Brutes that patrol the areas outside of Trengal Keep. - 2 Gulgrethor Brutesquad Leaders
- 6 Gulgrethor Brutes (Both of these are found in wandering groups outside of TK)
(10 miracle pills as a reward) Storming The Castle (Small Group) Most of Trengal Keep was destroyed 30 years ago when the meteors rained unrelentingly from the sky. During this storm the entry gate was destroyed as well, but if the Gulgrethor choose to rebuild this entrance, the guards will have no way to enter the ruins and storm the castle. Turroza has a good idea of who might be hording a key, and needs you to go hunt them down and retrieve it. - Hunt Gulgrethors outside the walls of Trengal Keep until you find a key.
(Trumpet of Trengal Keep is your reward) For the Shells of Course Guard Turroza isn't all about the blood, battle and glory – he certainly likes coin, too! The beetles which roam the area surrounding the Watch have carapaces that sell for a decent amount of coin. A guard has to make money somehow! If you help him out, you won't leave empty handed. - 10 Strong Beetle Carapce (can be found wandering around the Watch area)
(Coin reward – repeatable quest) ALCHEMIST DUNIA Meteoric Studies (Group) Alchemist Dunia is working in the field and having a hard time coming across the samples she needs to conduct proper experiments. The meteors within Trengal Keep are mystical and potent, but Dunia lacks the time and expertise to go collect samples herself. That is where you come in! - 10 Meteor Dust (Can be obtained from Loose Meteor Shards or Wandering Meteor Fragments)
- 10 Vial of Meteor Mist (Can be obtained from Entity of Koth Teros)
(Meteoric Wand is your reward) Spider Samples (Small Group) As any good alchemist would be, Dunia is curious about the metallic meteors effects on the creatures that live near the Keep – most notably, the spiders. She wants you to dissect the arachnids' bodies, and find mirrored meteor flakes and patterned meteor scales. - 7 Mirrored Meteor Flakes (make sure you go to the location marked on your map, right outside the ruin walls)
- 12 Patterned Meteor Scales
(A selection of leg armor is your reward) CAPTAIN MORROND Scouting the Keep Captain Morrond gives you a quick, stern glance up and down. From his demeanor you can tell that he was expecting someone other than you. He scoffs and explains that a report from his Lieutenant was due weeks ago, and the tardiness are both an annoyance and a concern. Patience and time are running thin, so Morrond needs you to scout the area and find out what happened to Lieutenant Ararond. - Seek out Lieutenant Ararond
Scouting the Keep (Group) – From Lieutenant Ararond You come upon Lieutenant Ararond as he is sulking quietly in an abandoned part of the ruins. "Their deaths are all on my head," he repeats. As he notices your presence, Ararond raises his head slightly and explains how he entered the Keep with what he thought was enough troops, but his entire unit was overcome, and he was the only one to escape alive, leaving his notes behind in the retreat. How can he ever got back to the Captain, with no troops, and no report. - Retrieve Lieutenant Ararond's notes from within the first main corridor of Trengal Keep (You can find the notes by entering the Keep and passing the first low brick wall. On the left side you will see a square area of ruins surrounded by debris, and a plank of wood across the top. Climb up the structure, and move across the plank where you will see a small bound journal.)
